Braefoot School is aligned with the Greater Victoria School District’s 5 Year Strategic Plan with the following goal:
To improve the overall number of students reading at grade level.
Strategy #1 – Screen reading levels to collect information regarding our students’ decoding, phonemic awareness, fluency, and comprehension skills using age-specific norms.
Strategy #2 – Use reading screener assessment data to determine personalized interventions that may improve students reading skills.
Strategy #3 – Celebrate and share our joy for reading as a school community.
